This advanced workshop is designed for those with a basic understanding of musical improv who want to take their emotional depth to the next level. We’ll explore how to use music to connect with the internal emotions and motivations of your characters, grounding your scenes in vulnerability. By tapping into your character’s emotional landscape, you'll learn how to express complex feelings through song, using music to elevate pivotal moments. The workshop will challenge you to deepen your emotional range, creating powerful, authentic songs that resonate with both solo and ensemble work. By the end, you'll be confidently weaving emotional vulnerability into your musical improv scenes.
Prerequisite: Some musical improv experience – at least one level of classes preferred.
